Geopolitics of chaos: the Middle East and the utopia of a peace without Truth

The recent escalation of war in the Middle East, exhaustively reported by the Anglo-Saxon media, shows the serious structural myopia of contemporary geopolitics. The secular diplomatic corps, amputated from all theological categories, seek to impose peace through bilateral treaties, territorial adjustments and rhetorical appeals to an "international law" which, after denying its natural law foundations, has led to an ineffective legal positivism lacking moral authority.

The Magisterium, in the pen of Pope Leo XIII, established with crystal clarity: "when States repudiate God, they inevitably rush towards their own dissolution." The capital error of enlightened globalism and supranational consortia—such as the UN, built on Masonic and contractualist philosophical bases—lies in conceptualizing peace as the mere cessation of hostilities or the balance of material forces. Relying on Augustinian exegesis, Saint Thomas Aquinas defined true peace as tranquillitas ordinis (the tranquility of order). An order inseparable from justice, and a justice unattainable without the public recognition of the Eternal Law and the jurisdiction of divine rights.

The attempt to consolidate a "New World Order" Structured exclusively on a horizontal humanism, ignoring divine paternity and denying the Social Kingship of Jesus Christ, it is equivalent to the geopolitical reissue of the Tower of Babel. These global bureaucracies, mired in their technocratic arrogance, disregard the fact that the Middle East dispute is not limited to border or energy variables. It constitutes a drama crossed by eschatological, messianic and religious imperatives; factors absolutely unintelligible to the secularized analyst.

The current geopolitical upheaval reveals, at its core, an acute theological orphanhood. By relegating the transcendent to the realm of the strictly private, the West has squandered its capacity for dialogue and mediation in scenarios where the belligerents do operate under absolute parameters. State secularism commits the fatal analytical error of presupposing that the ultimate human motivation is always power or matter, underestimating the irrepressible longing of the spirit for the Absolute.

As long as the diplomatic apparatus persists in its secularist paradigm and systematically censors the spiritual nature of man, the minutes signed at the great summits will continue to be sterile formalities. Lasting peace is neither a sociological artifact nor a consensus based on relativistic tolerance; It is a higher ontological order that demands, in an inalienable manner, the subordination of the will of nations to the revealed Truth.
