The West, and in particular the European continent, is vertiginously looking into the abyss of a demographic winter with no analogues in its historical record. Fertility rates have plummeted to subcritical replacement margins, guaranteeing, in terms of sociological prospective, the extinction of its cultural heritage and the collapse of its socioeconomic architecture in a few generations. International bureaucrats stubbornly refuse to diagnose the underlying pathology: this population collapse is not the product of spontaneous or economic evolution, but the mature result of aggressive social engineering, aimed at dismantling the natural family and the objective moral order.
The hegemony of the contraceptive, divorce mentality and hedonistic utilitarianism, inoculated since the mid-20th century, has produced a lethal anthropological split: the dissociation between sexuality, procreation and the indissoluble marital alliance. By undermining the conception of marriage as a foundational institution—ontologically oriented to the transmission of life, the integral education of children and mutual aid—society has degenerated into an atomized conglomerate of individuals. Rootless entities, absorbed in a narcissistic and short-term self-realization.
In parallel, the Leviathan of the welfare state has progressively usurped the powers of the extended family network, promoting the statist illusion that the individual can subsist, age and perish outside of kinship ties. However, demographic mathematics is implacable: in the absence of generational change, there is no productive base that sustains the gears of redistribution, exposing the macroeconomic fallacy that supports the progressive utopia of pure sexual autonomy.
Transcending the imminent economic crisis, a sterile West is a civilization devoid of teleology and immersed in hopelessness. The deficit of population replacement is merely the epiphenomenon of a profound spiritual necrosis: the systematic repudiation of the notion of Cross, sacrifice and commitment inherent to motherhood and fatherhood, today presented by the propaganda apparatus as oppressive burdens in the face of the dogma of material comfort.
Restoring the natural family, the irreplaceable basic cell of Christianity and pre-political pillar of natural law, constitutes at the present moment the act of maximum political rebellion. Promoting unconditional openness to life is not an exclusive theological duty, but rather the categorical imperative to rescue a civilization that, hypnotized by the chimera of immanent progress, has opted for demographic suicide.
