Editorial manifesto

Editorial Santa Jacinta is an independent digital newspaper of geopolitical, scientific and philosophical analysis. Our commitment is to objective truth, knowable through right reason and independent of human will. In a media landscape saturated with superficiality, the manipulation of language and the imposition of agendas, we set out to offer journalism of absolute depth: every story cites its sources and is reviewed before publication.

We oppose scientistic reductionism, which would reduce the human being to a biological automaton stripped of free will, intellect or transcendent nature. We call out those who usurp the prestige of science in order to impose ideologies, from sociological theories that attempt to deconstruct biology and the natural family to pseudosciences presented as inviolable consensus. That the hard sciences have not pronounced on a proposition makes it neither false nor true; to confuse those two planes is an act of intellectual tyranny this paper exists to expose.

Our intellectual armour is forged in the moral wisdom of Seneca, the eloquence of Cicero and the habit of examining premises before conclusions. We defend natural law, the inviolable dignity of every human person and the family as the basic cell of society. We recognise the mechanisms of social engineering, the psychological manipulation of populations and the rhetorical tactics that operate in plain sight within transnational bureaucratic superstructures.

We do not fight with sentimentality, hollow indignation or fleeting party slogans. Our pen distils love of neighbour, because every human being is a treasure, and active hope against civilisational pessimism. We forbid sarcasm, irony and mockery. Our tone is friendly and close, grounded in the pure philology of the Spanish language, with the depth of the great traditions of Western thought.

• Geopolitics — Analysis of power between nations: sovereignty, supranational bodies, conflict, and the real architecture behind decisions presented as inevitable.
• Science and bioethics — Scientific research read with philosophical rigour: neuroscience, physics, genetic engineering, and the limits technology cannot settle on its own.
• Philosophy and theology — Classical logic, metaphysics and doctrinal tradition applied to contemporary debate, including our long-form treatises on fallacy and epistemology.
• Society and anthropology — The person, the family and the natural order set against the cultural, demographic and educational shifts of our time.
• History — Documented reassessment of historical episodes distorted by popular retelling, with the sources on the table.
• Editorial — The position of the house. Pieces setting out our criteria on the matters that cut across every other section.
